It’s becoming clearer how wide and serious the destruction is in Florida from Hurricane Ian. It’s even clearer today than when the video above was recorded late yesterday. The video here is about ways you can help — or not. Please pass it along, and spread the word. Share it by sharing this post.
Thank you so much. And I'm glad to see you get the importance of it too. So many people seem to think that how I described it is not how it works. Mind blowing. And thank you for watching! I appreciate the feedback. -Vanessa
And yet, the way you explained made perfect sense. Using the example of people from northern climates sending what amounts to useless to Florida's clothes, and the fact that no one there has time to sort, manage etc because there are more pressing, life-saving tasks that need to be done. Really, great job.
Thank you again. It is really great and helpful to get feedback, and to hear what's coming across and what's helpful. Video is not my favourite, but working to get better at it so this is very much appreciated. -Vanessa
I understand that people really do want to help, but the absolutely best way is to donate $$.
Those organizations accepting money really do have the experience & know-how to distribute what is needed, where it's needed and how to make that happen.
Amazingly enough, even $5.00 or $10.00 can & will make a difference.
When Katrina hit New Orleans I had just flown out of there after spending several days planning & organizing a business convention. The woman who lived there with her daughter was given a warning to leave ASAP. She packed up her car and kept in contact with us.
Great video! Thank you for stressing the Don't Send Your Stuff! 🙂

What you said: Do. Not. Send. Stuff.

Thank you. It's good to hear from other people who understand what's actually helpful. Those organizations really do have the know-how and capacity.
