Yep. In my state, election deniers and those seeking to restrict our rights totally won, as anticipated. The Democrats did run people, really good people, but they didn't get the sort of traction they needed. And one of the first bills of the new session of the state legislature is apparently going to be a very broad bill to shut down drag of any type in public.

We need everyone to come out against this sort of thing. We need every person we can get coming out and supporting democracy and human rights. Is it important that young people vote? YES! But every vote counts. Every one. And as usual, voting is the bare minimum we're going to need.

Wow. Making drag illegal? I'm just floored! Yeah you are totally right. We need to absolutely be doing stuff. And thank you for the story on Tennessee. I'm so frustrated at the national media narrative which is sugar coating so much of the results and missing places like where we are. It's not good. I mean we kept deeper trouble at bay nationally but a lot of states are really in trouble.

Yep. Anywhere it could potentially be seen by kids. And written in a way that would be dangerous for trans people just, you know, going out in public because it talks about male or female impersonators that provide entertainment for prurient instances regardless of whether or not they're performing for consideration. That's not broad or anything given the way conservative Christians talk about the issue.

Ohmygoodness. Seriously? WOW. We have such huge work to do. This kind of thing is happening in so many places, and I think people don't know about it and don't know what we can do to call it out. Thanks for sharing a bit about what's up in Tennessee. -Vanessa
